About This Event
The 3rd Workshop on Hot Topics in System Infrastructure (HotInfra'26) offers a unique platform for researchers and engineers to delve into cutting-edge research on system infrastructure and platforms. This workshop aims to foster discussions on new challenges and opportunities associated with building next-generation system infrastructures, including significant topics such as AI infrastructure, sustainable data centers, and edge computing infrastructure. It encompasses a wide range of subjects across the complete computing system stack, which includes hardware architecture, software systems, runtime systems, and various development approaches.HotInfra'26 is open to three types of paper submissions, encouraging innovative and groundbreaking ideas that can significantly contribute to the future of system infrastructure. The workshop seeks submissions that provoke stimulating discussions, even if they are based on early-stage prototypes. There is also a call for papers that reflect the latest trends and demands of real system infrastructures from an industry standpoint, facilitating insightful dialogues about the development challenges and experiences encountered in this field. Furthermore, submissions may include studies previously presented at top-tier systems and architecture conferences within the past year, provided they introduce new perspectives, concepts, approaches, or experimental results. Specific areas of interest for HotInfra'26 include AI chip development and its ecosystem, operating systems and runtime system support, resource management and task scheduling, empirical evaluations of real infrastructures, security, and reliability of new infrastructures, energy efficiency, and emerging applications and services enabled by these technologies. Papers submitted to HotInfra'26 must adhere to a maximum length of three double-column pages, excluding references, and follow a double-blind review policy for regular research papers, with exceptions for retrospective submissions. Authors retain the right to extend and publish their work in other conferences and journals following the workshop.
