About This Event
The CSWIP Plant Inspector training course is designed to equip plant inspectors and engineers with essential tools and knowledge necessary for evaluating plant integrity. This course aims to empower participants with a comprehensive understanding of damage mechanisms, risk-based inspection (RBI), and fitness-for-service (FFS) evaluations, particularly in accordance with API RP 571 and API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 standards. Attendees will also learn about the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of a plant inspector, along with practical and theoretical aspects related to pinch welding repairs, API 510 pressure vessel inspections, and API 570 piping inspections.A primary objective of the course is to solidify the qualifications of plant inspectors and outline a structured career path for continuous professional development within this field. This course is particularly well-suited for inspectors collaborating with manufacturing companies, equipment owners, inspection organizations, classification societies, and safety regulatory bodies. By the conclusion of the training, participants will be well-versed in the essential skills and tools needed for assessing plant integrity, ensuring they are competent in their roles. The training covers various areas including damage mechanism assessment for RBI and FFS, as well as specific standards related to pressure vessels and piping inspections. Participants will come away with the knowledge to certify their competence as plant inspectors, thereby enhancing their professional development and career prospects.
