About This Event

The Automotive Cyber Security Workshop (ACSW), now in its fifth iteration, will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, as part of IEEE EuroS&P 2026. This workshop is dedicated to exploring the critical field of automotive cybersecurity, which is increasingly important as modern vehicles become more integrated with complex cyber-physical systems. These cars rely on embedded systems equipped with microcontrollers that have limited computational power and memory, creating unique security challenges, especially with the rise of external connectivity that exposes them to novel attack scenarios. The workshop will feature keynote speakers, discussion panels, and tutorials designed to foster collaboration between researchers and practitioners in the automotive security domain. Participants will engage with recent advancements in cybersecurity technologies tailored for vehicles, with a specific focus on the security of internal and external communication networks. Privacy issues surrounding modern infotainment systems and forensic analysis of vehicle components are also key topics of interest. The workshop encourages submissions that not only replicate previous studies but also critically analyze and expand upon existing findings. Accepted papers will undergo a rigorous review process, ensuring that contributions presented during the technical program are of high quality and relevance to the evolving standards in automotive security.
