Compact knowledge of Electromobility - VDI Seminar

The seminar Compact Knowledge of Electromobility is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the rapidly evolving electric mobility landscape. As the automotive industry undergoes a significant transformation towards electric vehicles (EVs), this VDI seminar covers essential topics necessary for specialists in the field. The seminar takes a holistic and practical approach to e-mobility, independent of specific manufacturers. Participants will receive a thorough overview of the critical components of electric vehicles, including energy storage systems, electric motors, charging technology, and infrastructure. Additionally, it addresses the environmental impact of CO2 emissions and energy generation, which are crucial considerations in today's automotive industry.Led by Prof. Moritz Gretzschel from Aalen University of Applied Sciences, who has extensive experience in hybrid vehicles from his previous tenure at BMW AG, the seminar aims to equip attendees with practical knowledge about the most relevant types of battery cells and electric motors. The seminar emphasizes the fundamental functions of electric vehicles, including energy-related operating strategies and regenerative braking systems. It is especially beneficial for individuals without prior technical knowledge, with a recommendation for the Crash Course Electromobility for Non-Technicians and Career Changers for those new to the field. The event will take place at the Mercure Hotel in Munich Freising, Germany, offering participants a chance to learn from industry experts and connect with peers.
