About This Event
The Engine Condition Monitoring Systems Course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge about Engine Condition Monitoring Systems (ECMS) and their essential components, as well as their market applicability and economic impact. The course will delve into various auxiliary systems, including instrumentation systems, controls, and process accessories, and examine how these factors influence engine performance and maintenance. Topics covered include vibration measurement, rotor dynamics, balancing, and the measurement systems for temperature, pressure, oil, and emissions. Additionally, the course will simulate maintenance schedules using advanced tools such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Predictive Analytics (PA) to optimize the life cycles of equipment. This course is aimed at engineers and operational personnel who wish to acquire relevant knowledge about ECMS to enable efficient and reliable machinery operation across diverse industries. Upon completion, participants will understand the primary components and subsystems of ECMS. They will learn to evaluate the advantages, applications, performance, and economic considerations of various ECMS features, including the impact of auxiliary systems like instrumentation and controls. The course is particularly beneficial for professionals involved in large-scale production or maintenance, smaller operations, machinery systems optimization, and management within sectors such as process plants, refineries, power plants, and oil and gas facilities. Moreover, introductory definitions will cover key concepts including waveform, amplitude, frequency, total signal, and filtered signal, along with practical demonstrations of different sensors and their applications, such as displacement, velocity, and acceleration sensors. Participants will also explore the mechanics of unbalanced rotors and learn about instrumentation for balancing various rotors, including field balancing techniques. Topics on monitoring systems, temperature monitoring, and algorithm parameters will further enrich the learning experience. The course will encompass practical insights on pump and valve technology, maintenance management, and condition monitoring, ensuring participants gain a comprehensive understanding of modern maintenance and operational practices for rotating equipment.
