HAVS Vibration Training - Competent Persons Course

The HAVS Vibration Training - Competent Persons Course is a comprehensive training program designed for professionals responsible for health and safety within their organizations. This course is particularly beneficial for health and safety professionals, works managers, engineers, and personnel operating hand-held power tools or vibrating machinery, as it addresses the potential risks associated with vibration exposure. Upon successful completion of all three modules, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Competency valid for three years, certifying their ability to conduct Hand Arm and Whole Body Vibration Risk Assessments in accordance with current legislation.The course is structured into three detailed modules. The first module introduces participants to the basic principles of vibration, including essential terminology and units of measurement. This foundational knowledge sets the stage for the subsequent modules. Module 2 is a three-day seminar that dives deep into vibration theory, measurement protocols, vibration reduction techniques, relevant legislation and standards, as well as instrumentation and measurement practices. The final module culminates in the submission of a report, which is evaluated by the course tutor, forming the basis for certification. Participants will also benefit from a range of resources, including digital materials, meals with wine on the first night, and daily lunches and coffee, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment.
