STAR PRIMER

The STAR PRIMER event is set to take place in Chennai, India, hosted by the renowned Stanley Medical College and Hospitals, which boasts a rich history of over 200 years in medical education and healthcare. Established in 1938, Stanley Medical College has maintained its reputation as one of the oldest and most respected centers in India. The event will highlight the innovative advancements in the field of radiology provided by the Department of Radiology, which serves the entire hospital and is equipped with cutting-edge technology. This includes a state-of-the-art 1.5 Tesla MRI machine, a 128 Slice CT scanner, and various other imaging modalities such as Ultrasonography, Doppler, Elastography, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, and digital X-ray units.In addition to showcasing the technological advancements, STAR PRIMER will also emphasize the educational opportunities available in the Department of Radiology. Annually, the department admits 11 postgraduate students for the MDRD and DMRD programs, fostering the next generation of radiology professionals. Furthermore, a range of paramedical courses is offered, including Diploma in Radiography, BSc in Radiology, and MSc in Radiology. These programs are designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the dynamic field of radiology. STAR PRIMER is proudly created and maintained by the Stanley Radiology Alumni, reinforcing the strong community and commitment to medical education.
