Varity NLS Congress

The Varity NLS Congress in Paris, France, is set to explore the intricate theme of 'The Variations of Truth in Psychoanalysis.' This congress will delve into the nuances of truth as understood through psychoanalytic theory, particularly emphasizing Jacques Lacan's insights on the subject. The congress promises a rich examination of how truth exists in its variations and effects, challenging the conventional notions of knowledge, speech, and the unconscious. Participants will engage with profound concepts such as the impossibility of conveying the entirety of truth, exemplified by Lacan's assertion that 'I always tell the truth: not all of it, because telling it all is impossible.' The discussions will revolve around key psychoanalytic terms such as revelation, emergence, and the tearing of the veil. These elements invite a deeper contemplation on the nature of truth within the psychoanalytic framework and its relevance in contemporary social and cultural discourse. The congress aims to foster an environment where the complexities of truth—both genuine and false—can be examined through the lens of psychoanalysis, while also addressing the societal implications of these concepts. This event is a significant opportunity for psychoanalysts, scholars, and enthusiasts to engage with pivotal ideas that challenge our understanding of truth in various contexts.
