International Conference on Transition, Resilience, and Applied Economics

The International Conference on Transition, Resilience, and Applied Economics (ICTRAE 2026) is set to take place at Manipal University Jaipur in India. This conference, organized by the Department of Economics at TAPMI School of Business, is dedicated to advancing economic theory and applied empirical research in the context of transition and resilience within a rapidly changing global economy. It aims to explore topics grounded in economics, focusing on applied economics, welfare economics, development economics, and policy analysis, especially concerning structural transformation, climate change, energy transitions, and institutional changes.ICTRAE 2026 features several key tracks that align with various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conference will delve into Economic Transitions and Structural Change, examining the economic processes involved in structural transformation and energy transitions, while highlighting their impact on growth and productivity. Another significant track will focus on Resilience, Shocks, and Macroeconomic Stability, analyzing how economies respond to climate and environmental shocks, with an emphasis on vulnerability and recovery. Additionally, the conference will explore Capabilities, Inequality, and Welfare Economics, which assesses welfare outcomes beyond income and addresses issues of inequality and access to opportunities. The role of finance in sustainable development will also be addressed, covering topics like sustainable finance and climate risk management, under the Finance, Financial Stability, and Sustainable Development track. Lastly, the Policy, Institutions, and Applied Economic Methods track will focus on the evaluation of economic policies and institutional frameworks using advanced econometric methods.Selected papers presented at ICTRAE 2026 will have the opportunity for publication in special issues of Scopus indexed journals, contingent on the journals' editorial policies. Aiming to foster academic excellence, the conference will also recognize outstanding research with a Best Paper Award of ₹10,000 for each of the five tracks, with eligibility limited to full paper submissions. The conference will feature prominent speakers and conveners from leading institutions, including Dr. Sarthak Gaurav from IIT Bombay and Dr. Devi Prasad Dash from IIT Jodhpur, among others, providing valuable insights into the evolving landscape of applied economics.
