Basics of Industrial Image Processing

The Basics of Industrial Image Processing seminar is organized by the VDI Association of German Engineers and will take place at the Mercure Hotel München Airport Freising in Freising, Germany. This informative event is designed for professionals and enthusiasts seeking to deepen their understanding of industrial image processing and its applications in the field of digital transformation and the Internet of Things (IoT).Participants will explore essential topics related to industrial image processing, including the procedure of image acquisition, the role of lighting, optics, and camera technology, as well as the selection of appropriate system components. The seminar aims to provide attendees with the tools necessary to assess the potential and limitations of image processing and to structure tasks as interlocking subsystems. Key learning outcomes include the ability to select suitable cameras and lenses for embedded systems, understand the significance of digital interfaces, and evaluate the impact of lighting on imaging. Furthermore, the seminar will cover critical steps in image processing such as preprocessing, segmentation, labeling, feature extraction, and classification, as well as the challenges associated with system components like sensors, feeders, and data transmission.By attending this seminar, participants will become adept at understanding the intricacies of industrial image processing and will gain valuable insights into established solutions for common inspection tasks. This event will reach audiences not only in Germany but also in countries like Saudi Arabia and Uganda, broadening its impact and relevance in the global market.
