About This Event
The 13th International Symposium on Applied Computing for Software and Smart Systems (ACSS-2026) is set to take place at the University of Calcutta in Kolkata, India. This symposium is designed to provide an exceptional platform for undergraduate and graduate students, along with research scholars, to present and discuss their innovative works. While the primary focus is on Software and Smart Systems, submissions are welcome from other relevant areas that contribute to advancements in computing.Participants are invited to submit research papers that align with the symposium’s themes. The papers should be between 10-12 pages, formatted according to Springer guidelines, specifically following the LNCS format. All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process facilitated by the Microsoft CMT service, ensuring at least two blind reviews for each paper. Selected manuscripts will be recommended for publication in a special issue of the Springer-Nature NASA Journal Innovations in Systems & Software Engineering, which has been confirmed by Springer. Furthermore, prominent works will also be considered for inclusion in the International Journal of Biometrics. The symposium aims to foster a constructive and friendly atmosphere for dialogue between junior researchers and senior experts. Noteworthy keynote talks from previous years included discussions on noise-tolerant methods for detecting feature drift in data streams, challenges of blockchain interoperability, and advancements in satellite edge computing. This year’s event is expected to feature a stellar lineup of speakers from various esteemed institutions, contributing valuable insights across diverse topics.Among the presenters are notable figures from institutions such as the Indian Statistical Institute, Bialystok University of Technology, and the University of Calgary, among others. The symposium not only emphasizes scholarly exchange but also aims to address practical challenges in the field, making it an ideal venue for researchers to engage with real-world use cases. As the event draws closer, it promises to be an enriching experience for all participants, providing them with the opportunity to expand their knowledge and network within the global research community.
