About This Event
The 'Managing Natural and Artificial Flowing Wells' course offers an in-depth exploration into the management of natural flowing wells through advanced production technologies. Participants will delve into reservoir concepts, the mechanisms of formation damage, and the intricacies of nodal analysis, which are crucial for optimizing production. The course provides detailed insights into lower and upper completions, including screen and screen-less completions, along with principles for their selection and the different types of perforations along with their applications. By the end of the course, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of various components of production systems, enabling them to design well integrity management processes and assess well integrity within strategic operations. This course is particularly beneficial for professionals engaged in the selection, installation, operation, and optimization of oil wells. It covers a range of topics including multiphase flow and its correlations, tubing selection, and well modeling tips using software. Participants will explore barriers principles and well integrity, sustain annulus pressure, and perform calculations for MAASP. The course also discusses perforation operations, formation damage, stimulation, and cased hole logging. Additionally, it encompasses the selection and application of artificial lifting systems, gas lift technologies, downhole equipment, and pressure control equipment relevant to various operations including coiled tubing and snubbing applications. Other critical subjects include sand control systems, well lifting operations, and mitigation of issues such as gas and water shut off, hydrate formation, and corrosion. The curriculum is designed for a multidisciplinary approach, incorporating techniques such as seismic inversion methods, applied geostatistics for oil and gas, and modern surface production operations and facilities. This specialized training is aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of professionals in the oil and gas industry, ensuring they are equipped with the latest advancements and practices in well management.
