The ACGA Convention and Dealer Show

The ACGA Convention and Dealer Show, hosted at the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront in Rockwall, Texas, is an annual event dedicated to the celebration and sale of American Brilliant cut glass. Under the leadership of chairs Geoff and Holly Morgan, this ninth edition of the convention welcomes hundreds of buyers and sellers who come together for the largest sale of rare American Brilliant cut glass. Attendees will have ample opportunities to engage with esteemed speakers and partake in numerous educational sessions throughout the four-day event. A highlight of the convention is the fabulous Dealers Show, which features the nation’s top cut glass dealers showcasing their multi-million-dollar inventories. Participants can expect to discover a wide array of seldom-seen pieces, each reflecting the intricate artistry and craftsmanship characteristic of a bygone era.The Dealers Show is a remarkable opportunity for collectors, as exhibitors will present several hundred pieces of fine Brilliant Period cut glass, meticulously chosen to appeal to convention attendees. Whether one is in search of oversized statement pieces or smaller collectibles, the convention offers something for every enthusiast. Additionally, there will be a rarities exhibit showcasing beautiful and rare cut glass items, encouraging members to bring their unique pieces for display in special cabinets within the dealer’s room. These rarities may include unusual shapes, rare patterns, and items produced by lesser-known companies, as well as pieces made from specific colored glass such as pink, yellow, or clear crystal. The convention also allows individuals to become cut glass dealers during Collectors Night for a fee, providing a platform for attendees to sell their own special pieces. This event not only serves as a marketplace for enthusiasts but also as a fundraising initiative where attendees can participate in bidding on various items displayed, including glass pieces, publications, and catalogs.
