Introduction
Exhibition Scale: 10,000-20,000. The largest exhibition of its kind in the world. For thirty-five years, PLMA's annual "World of Private Label" International Trade Show has brought retailers and manufacturers together to help them find new products, make new contacts, and discover new ideas that will help their private label programs succeed and grow. The past few years have been challenging, but with private label maintaining its strong position in all markets, the need for new products, contacts, and ideas has never been stronger. As retailers expand internationally and play a greater role in marketing themselves and the products they sell, more private labels are expected in the future. PLMA's 2024 "World of Private Label" International Trade Show will be held from May 28-29 at the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Products on display will include fresh, frozen, and refrigerated foods, dry groceries, and beverages, as well as non-food categories including cosmetics, health and beauty, home and kitchen, automotive aftermarket, garden, housewares, and DIY. The exhibition halls are divided into separate food and non-food sections to help visitors make the most of their time. Renowned Organizer: Established in 1979, PLMA is a non-profit organization for the private label market, with over 3,200 member companies from more than 70 countries. It organizes exhibitions, press conferences, seminars, and forums for the private label market annually. To assist members in exploring markets, in addition to this exhibition held in Amsterdam every May, a similar exhibition will also be held in Chicago, USA, in November. PLMA member companies can also access the association's research data on the private label market at any time. Large Exhibition Scale: The Dutch Private Label Trade Show PLMA is the largest of its kind in the world. According to surveys, it occupies 10 exhibition halls at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition Centre, divided into food and non-food sections. It is suitable for products that can be directly sold in supermarkets, department stores, chain stores, and discount stores, product packaging, and products intended for private label production for large European supermarkets. Excellent Platform: This exhibition provides exhibitors with a platform to enhance brand awareness and establish good relationships with various businesses in the supply chain. If your company is already a supplier of private label products, PLMA will introduce you to more buyers for negotiation. If your company is just starting to enter the private label market, PLMA will assist you in market development and success. Market Analysis: The Netherlands is a highly developed capitalist country, known for its dikes, windmills, tulips, and tolerant social attitudes. It is also a founding member of the EU and NATO, as well as a member of the Schengen Agreement, the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, and other international organizations. Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, has a population of about 1.1 million in its urban area. Amsterdam has experienced a development process from a fishing village to a metropolis, undergoing glory and destruction, as well as the baptism of world wars. To some extent, its history is a microcosm of Dutch history. Private label products originated in Western developed countries and are now becoming increasingly popular globally, especially in Europe and North America. According to a SHOWGUIDE exhibition navigation survey, ACNielsen surveyed 80 products in supermarkets in 36 countries, of which 17% were private label products. In the UK, Germany, and Belgium, the market share of private label products has exceeded 40%; in France and Spain, it has exceeded 30%; in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland, the market share is 20%; in Central and Eastern Europe, it is 18%; and in North America, it also exceeds 20%. The market share of private label products in other regions of the world is also increasing year by year. According to Eurostat statistics, from January to July 2017, the trade deficit between the Netherlands and China was 35.15 billion USD, an increase of 13.6%. As of July, China was the Netherlands' 11th largest export destination and second-largest import source.
