Introduction
The Posidonia Greek Maritime Exhibition is one of the most influential and largest professional exhibitions in the global maritime sector, hailed as the "weathervane" of the world shipbuilding industry. Founded in 1969, the exhibition boasts over half a century of glorious history and is held biennially in Athens, Greece. Posidonia's success is attributed to the strong support of the Greek government, which not only attracts numerous top shipping companies, shipyards, equipment suppliers, and technical service providers worldwide but also draws high-ranking government officials and representatives from maritime agencies globally, underscoring its significant role in global maritime strategy. The exhibition is not merely a platform for showcasing maritime technology and products but also a crucial hub for high-level dialogue, policy formulation, and business cooperation within the global maritime community. Exhibitors and visitors encompass all aspects of the maritime value chain, including shipbuilding, shipping management, port operations, marine engineering, finance and insurance, and legal services. Since 2014, to accommodate the exhibition's growing scale and international demand, Posidonia moved to the more advanced and conveniently located Metropolitan Expo in Athens, further enhancing the exhibition's capacity and international influence. During the exhibition, in addition to a rich array of exhibits, a series of high-level seminars, forums, and business networking events are held to discuss industry hot topics, share cutting-edge technologies, and forecast development trends, providing an excellent opportunity for global maritime professionals to gain a comprehensive understanding of industry dynamics and expand their business networks. The last exhibition covered a total area of 64,000 square meters, attracting over 2,000 exhibitors from more than 90 countries and regions and over 20,000 professional visitors, fully demonstrating its strong appeal as a global maritime event.
