Introduction
Exhibition Scale: 20,000-50,000 PCIM Europe, one of the world's largest power semiconductor exhibitions, is a leading international trade fair for power electronics, intelligent drive technology, renewable energy, and energy management. It is held annually in May at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center in Nuremberg, Germany, for three days. Since its inception in 1979, it has evolved into an important gathering point for industry experts. The trade fair and conference are organized by Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, a company renowned for its successful exhibitions and conferences worldwide. A special focus of the event is electric vehicles, an increasingly important application area for power electronics. Products and solutions specifically designed for this sector are showcased in the "E-Mobility Area." More than 10 [sic], they also use the event to find targeted products and solutions for daily professional practice and to network with colleagues. The main themes of PCIM Europe include innovations and technological trends relevant to industry and research. The event concludes with a high-quality lecture program covering three exhibition forums (free for all visitors) and a career platform connecting companies with ambitious students and qualified professionals. Overall, PCIM Europe offers an excellent opportunity to learn about new developments in power electronics and energy systems and to establish new contacts. PCIM Europe will be held in Nuremberg from May 6 to May 8, 2025, for three days. Market Analysis: Germany is the world's fourth-largest country by GDP and the fifth-largest by GDP. Germany is a founding member of the EU and the Eurozone, and the world's third-largest exporter, with exports accounting for over one-third of the country's output. Germany is a producer of lignite. Germany also contains abundant timber, iron ore, potash, salt, uranium, nickel, copper, and natural gas. According to a SHOWGUIDE exhibition navigation survey, Germany's energy mainly comes from fossil fuels, followed by nuclear power, renewable energy like biomass (wood and biofuels), wind, hydropower, and solar energy. Overall, German imports from China have mostly shown growth, with a large proportion of imports being electrical machinery, sound recording and reproducing apparatus, and parts and accessories thereof. According to Eurostat, from January to April 2018, the bilateral goods import and export volume between Germany and China was 53.99 billion US dollars, an increase of 3.3%. Among them, German exports to China were 28.66 billion US dollars, accounting for 6.4% of Germany's total exports; German imports from China were 25.33 billion US dollars, accounting for 6.9% of Germany's total imports. From January to April, Germany's trade surplus with China was 3.33 billion US dollars, an increase of 198.1%. As of April, China was Germany's fourth-largest export destination and second-largest import source country.
