Introduction
The Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) is one of the largest, oldest, and most influential comprehensive international trade fairs in Greece and the entire Balkan Peninsula. Its history dates back to 1926, and it has successfully held dozens of editions, witnessing the changes and development of the Greek economy, and consistently serving as an important bridge connecting Southeast Europe with the global market. TIF is not just a commodity trading platform, but also a grand event for cultural exchange, technology display, and business cooperation. Every year, it attracts government officials, industry leaders, business representatives, and professional visitors from all over the world. According to historical data, TIF typically attracts nearly a thousand or even thousands of exhibitors from dozens of countries. For example, in some years, nearly 1,500 exhibitors from 18 countries actively participated, including first-time participants such as South Korea, Moldova, and Thailand, which fully reflects its international appeal and growing influence. During the exhibition, in addition to traditional product displays, a series of high-level forums, seminars, business matching events, and cultural performances are held, aiming to promote economic cooperation and cultural understanding between different countries and regions. TIF plays a crucial role in the Greek economy, serving as an important window for showcasing the national image, attracting foreign investment, and promoting trade and tourism development.
