The Frankfurt Book Fair (FRANKFURTER Buchmesse) has become the world's largest and most important book trade center, a grand event for the global book industry, and is hailed as the "barometer of world culture" and the "Olympics for global publishers." Founded in 1949 by the German Publishers and Booksellers Association, the Frankfurt Book Fair is an international exhibition for books. Its motto is to "allow all publishers in the world to exhibit any book." As the world's largest exhibition in the publishing industry, the Frankfurt Book Fair (FRANKFURTER Buchmesse) holds immense influence in the global book publishing and cultural sector, and serves as an important platform for publishing institutions from various countries to actively showcase publishing and innovation achievements, and enhance industry communication and exchange. According to official data from the Frankfurt Book Fair, the number of Chinese publishing institutions participating this year is the highest in the past five years. Chinese exhibitors displayed a wide array of distinctive books and publications, and organized special events focusing on Sino-foreign cultural exchange and mutual learning, copyright trade, cultural dissemination, and opportunities in technological development. China International Book Trading Group (CIBTC) is the only Chinese exhibitor to have participated 50 times, and recently held a commemorative event for its 50th participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair.
