World Small Animal Veterinary Association

The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) Congress is an international academic research group for veterinarians. The standing committee office of the World Veterinary Congress, officially established in 1962, is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Its main tasks are to host congresses, expand connections and exchanges among national veterinary associations, standardize professional technologies and theories, formulate international veterinary regulations, and elevate the status of the veterinary profession. The WSAVA World Congress will be held for the first time in 2024 in China, one of the world's fastest-growing veterinary markets. In 2024, the WSAVA World Congress will be jointly hosted by two Chinese member organizations – the Beijing Small Animal Veterinary Association (BJSAVA) and the Shanghai Small Animal Veterinary Association (SHSAVA). It aims to provide a world-class continuing education feast for Chinese colleagues and to learn from their knowledge and experience, as they have made significant contributions to our global veterinary community.
