Introduction
The Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF) in Tokyo is one of the world's four major machine tool exhibitions. It began in 1962, and since 2000, JIMTOF has been held in Tokyo. It is renowned internationally, alongside the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago, the European Machine Tool Exhibition (EMO), and the China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT), as one of the world's four major machine tool exhibitions. Its main purpose is to promote the development and trade revitalization of the machine tool industry through international trade and technical exchange of machine tools and related equipment. The exhibition was a grand success, with participants from 17 countries and regions including the United States, Israel, Italy, India, the United Kingdom, Australia, Austria, the Netherlands, South Korea, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Taiwan (China), the Czech Republic, China, Germany, and Japan. In terms of audience attendance, according to data from the organizer, the exhibition received a total of 142,408 visitors, with an average daily attendance of over 20,000. Looking back at Japan's GDP, machine tool output, and import/export data, the Japanese machine tool industry is related to the cyclical changes in the Japanese and global economies, with the machine tool industry's prosperity slightly lagging behind changes in GDP. Although the Japanese machine tool industry has experienced 6 recessions due to macroeconomic influences since 1970, Japan's machine tool output has consistently ranked first in the world since surpassing Germany in 1982. Various conferences will also be held at the Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF) in Tokyo to discuss future trends in machine tool development. For companies looking to understand the latest industry information in the machine tool sector and expand into international markets, JIMTOF is an ideal platform.
