INTERNATIONAL OPTICS AND EYEWEAR EXHIBITION

Exhibition Scale: Less than 10,000. Held annually in early January in Munich, Germany, "OPTI Munich" is one of the world's renowned eyewear exhibitions. Each edition sees over 400 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions. As the most important eyewear industry exhibition in the European market, OPTI Munich attracts a large number of professional trade visitors and international buyers every year, with over a quarter of visitors coming from outside Germany. In recent years, the number of visitors from Eastern European countries has also seen significant growth. It is particularly noteworthy that, unlike MIDO in Italy and the Paris Eyewear Show, OPTI Munich focuses on the wealthiest region in Europe—the German-speaking area—as well as the emerging Eastern European market. The concept of holding the exhibition at the beginning of the year allows OPTI Munich to release the annual eyewear industry trends at the earliest possible time, showcasing the highest-end technology, most avant-garde conceptual designs, and most fashionable products in the international eyewear industry.

The Germany Munich International Optical Products and Eyewear Exhibition (opti) features a broad and in-depth range of exhibits, comprehensively covering all aspects of the visual optics field. Core exhibits include various types of spectacle frames, encompassing a wide range of design styles from classic to avant-garde, with materials including metal, acetate, natural materials, etc. Also on display are lenses with various functions, such as single vision lenses, progressive multifocal lenses, anti-fatigue lenses, and functional lenses with special coatings like blue light protection, photochromic, and polarized features. The contact lens section gathers products with different replacement cycles such as daily disposables and monthly disposables, as well as toric lenses for astigmatism correction and multifocal contact lenses for presbyopia, in addition to colored contact lenses and related care products and accessories. Beyond vision correction products, the exhibition also prominently showcases ophthalmic diagnostic and optometry equipment, such as auto refractors, phoropters, tonometers, slit lamps, and fundus cameras, among other high-tech instruments. For the retail sector, the exhibition features a dedicated store design and fitting area, offering innovative display cases, lighting systems, and interior design solutions. The exhibition also extends to low vision aids, hearing acoustics and hearing aid systems, as well as machinery and workshop equipment required for eyewear manufacturing and repair. Furthermore, industry-related IT software, supply chain services, and purchasing alliances are also important components of the exhibition, providing a one-stop sourcing and networking platform for industry professionals.
