Safari Club International, founded in 1971, is currently the world's largest, most active, and most influential organization for hunting enthusiasts, dedicated to upholding the legal hunting rights of enthusiasts worldwide, with members in over 100 countries. Its annual convention has become a grand gathering for hunting enthusiasts from around the world, also attracting a large number of hunting suppliers and agents, as well as renowned hunting equipment companies, taxidermy companies, firearm manufacturers, craftspeople, and more, with nearly 500 related enterprises exhibiting and selling their products. There are nearly a hundred auctions, professional seminars, reports, and receptions. Even US government wildlife management agencies set up consultation desks here, and various hunter groups take the opportunity to gather. US politicians also frequently give speeches here to garner votes. In past years, speeches or visits by the Bush father and son were a regular feature.
