Introduction
The Nuremberg International Toy Fair (Spielwarenmesse) has attracted toy companies from all over the world since its inception in 1949, making it the largest and most renowned professional toy trade fair internationally. It is one of the world's top three toy fairs, known for its high visibility, wide influence, and largest number of participants in the global toy industry. Official data shows that the number of professional buyers increased by 2.5% year-on-year this year. US buyers maintained a high level, while Chinese buyers saw a significant rebound due to the exhibition avoiding the Lunar New Year. Emerging markets such as Mexico and Turkey, as well as mature markets like the UK and France, also saw growth. German domestic buyers remained stable. Consumers aged 12 and above are reshaping the global toy market structure. This exhibition featured a "Kidults Zone" at the main entrance, focusing on collectibles, board games, and creative fantasy items. Among these, blind boxes, trendy plush toys, models, and building blocks were the areas where buyers spent the most time. It is worth noting that Chinese trendy toys showed a high degree of "invisible penetration" in this area – many products were not directly exhibited by Chinese companies but entered mainstream channels through European and American agents. Veteran Canadian toy company Maison Battat, German Iden Group, and even Ukrainian distributor KIDDISVIT are systematically introducing Chinese trendy toy IPs. IP is no longer a "bonus item" but a core structure. Established companies like Schleich and Ty are upgrading their products from single toys to storytelling and collectible systems through licenses from Disney, Harry Potter, and others.
