Introduction
KORMARINE, the Busan International Maritime Exhibition in South Korea, is one of the most influential professional exhibitions in the global maritime sector, known as one of the world's four major maritime events alongside SMM in Germany, Nor-Shipping in Norway, and Marintec in China, enjoying a high reputation in the international maritime community. Held biennially in Busan, South Korea, since its inception, the exhibition has always been committed to building an efficient and professional international cooperation and innovation exchange platform for upstream and downstream enterprises in the global shipbuilding and maritime industrial chain. The exhibition is grand in scale and far-reaching in influence, attracting top enterprises, professionals, and government agencies from all over the world each time. This edition of the exhibition is particularly noteworthy, attracting 1,000 exhibitors from 40 countries and regions, including 450 South Korean local enterprises and 550 overseas exhibitors, fully reflecting its international and diversified characteristics. A major highlight of the exhibition is the newly launched "NEXT ENERGY Future Energy Pavilion," which focuses on the global hot topic of "carbon neutrality and energy transition," comprehensively and multi-dimensionally showcasing the latest progress and future development paths of the maritime industry in green energy transition, from cutting-edge technology R&D to practical application solutions. In addition, South Korea's three shipbuilding giants—HD Hyundai, Samsung Heavy Industries, and Hanwha Ocean—collectively appeared, showcasing numerous latest achievements including AI ship management systems, carbon-free fuel transport ships, and LNG-powered ships, demonstrating South Korea's leading position in high-end shipbuilding. International giants such as ABB, Emerson, GE Vernova, WinGD, Schneider Electric also made their appearance, and 12 national pavilions from countries such as the Netherlands, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and China jointly participated, collectively depicting the latest landscape and development trends of global maritime technology. The export consultation meeting hosted by KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) reached a record high in scale, attracting 80 buyers from 20 countries and regions to conduct customized business negotiations with over 130 South Korean enterprises, facilitating on-site orders totaling up to 28 million US dollars, fully demonstrating KORMARINE's huge potential and practical effectiveness in promoting international trade and industrial cooperation.
