Introduction
The Japan Mobility Show, formerly known as the globally renowned Tokyo Motor Show, is one of the world's most influential and forward-looking automotive and mobility events. Held biennially at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan, it brings together top global automakers, technology suppliers, and innovative companies. With a long history since its first staging in 1954, the exhibition has always been an important barometer for the development of the automotive industry in Asia and worldwide. In recent years, as the global automotive industry transitions towards electrification, intelligence, connectivity, and sharing, the exhibition has also adapted to the times, upgrading from a traditional "motor show" to a more inclusive and futuristic "mobility show." It aims to showcase not just cars, but comprehensive future mobility solutions spanning land, sea, and air. The exhibition is grand in scale, typically attracting hundreds of thousands of professional visitors and general consumers, with numerous exhibiting companies and a high degree of internationalization. It is not only a premier platform for major brands to launch their latest models, concept cars, and cutting-edge technologies but also a vital bridge for industry exchange, technological cooperation, and market expansion. Notably, this edition marked a historic breakthrough as Chinese new energy vehicle giant BYD made its debut with several key models and core technologies, becoming the first Chinese automaker to participate in the show, fully demonstrating the rise and influence of Chinese brands on the global automotive stage. BYD's participation not only added new vitality to the exhibition but also signaled a profound transformation in the global mobility industry landscape.
