Introduction
SOLAR POWER AFRICA is the leading solar and energy storage industry event in South Africa and across the African continent, aiming to illuminate South Africa's energy transition path. The exhibition is organized by the globally renowned Messe Frankfurt and works closely with the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) to create a professional platform focused on solar power generation and energy storage. Although the exhibition currently occupies less than 10,000 square meters, its influence is immense, attracting numerous exhibitors and professional visitors active in the African market. The first SOLAR POWER AFRICA was successfully held in 2023, attracting over 50 exhibitors, which further confirms South Africa's leading role in promoting the African continent's transition to renewable energy. The exhibition's location at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in South Africa holds profound significance. Cape Town Mayor Gordon Hill Lewis emphasized that Cape Town is actively developing plans to become the leading city for renewable energy deployment on the African continent, aiming to add 1GW of new energy to its grid through various methods such as power purchases, self-owned projects, and incentives for small-scale generation. Therefore, SOLAR POWER AFRICA is not only a platform for showcasing the latest technologies and products but also an important opportunity to gather industry elites, share knowledge, exchange professional experience, and explore innovative ideas, jointly promoting Africa's realization of reliable, cost-effective, and carbon-neutral energy transition. The exhibition is held annually, continuously injecting new vitality into Africa's clean energy development.
