Agri-Food Tech Expo Asia (AFTEA) in Singapore is the region's leading showcase platform for cutting-edge products, services, and solutions in the global agri-food and agritech industry. With a focus on strengthening the scale, security, and resilience of Asia's agri-food systems, Agri-Food Tech Expo Asia (AFTEA) aims to inspire efficiency in urban food production through a wide display of agritech solutions and technologies from exhibitors across 25 countries and regions. This year's exhibition area has expanded by 30% compared to last year, attracting 75% new exhibitors, including new national pavilions from Australia, Bhutan, and Spain, as well as representatives from mainland China, Finland, Hong Kong China, Japan, and the Philippines. With growing populations and increasing wealth, Asia now accounts for over 60% of global protein consumption. By 2030, Asian consumers' demand for traditional meat and seafood is expected to grow by 33%, and by 2050, by 78%. This places immense pressure on the Asian protein market to meet this demand sustainably and scalably, while also achieving the region's climate goals. To this end, the demand for healthier, sustainable food is expected to drive 55% of Asia's food spending by 2030, equivalent to 24,000.
