The Hostelco, Barcelona International Catering and Hotel Equipment Exhibition, held concurrently with Alimentaria, the Barcelona Food Fair, attracted over 3,200 companies from 68 countries. Approximately 107,900 professionals visited the exhibition, 25% of whom were international visitors from 120 countries. This edition of the exhibition covered a net exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, occupying almost the entire Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona. Hostelco once again proved to be a strategically important event for the internationalization of participating companies. This edition saw over 900 international companies, predominantly Italian, with a notable return of Asian companies, especially from China, South Korea, and Thailand. The exhibition reaffirmed its leadership by strengthening the complementarity of the industries it represents and providing an excellent business platform for professionals. Attendees included 2,200 key buyers from food and hotel equipment markets across the EU, USA, and Latin America. J. Antonio Valls, Director of Alimentaria, stated, "This edition of the exhibition achieved great success in internationalization, having recovered to pre-pandemic levels and attracted buyers from strategic countries like China, which is a testament to our strong appeal." Food innovation, the rise of gastronomy and protein, and the latest trends in the hospitality industry were the main features of over 350 concurrent activities during the exhibition, attracting nearly 700 authoritative experts and top chefs.
