The Mexican Conference on Pattern Recognition (MCPR 2026) will take place in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. This prestigious event is organized under the guidance of the Coordinación de Ciencias Computacionales of the Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica Óptica y Electrónica (INAOE) and supported by 'DUROL sistemas y servicios,' along with the endorsement of the Mexican Association for Pattern Recognition (MexAPR), which is affiliated with the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR). MCPR 2026 aims to foster a collaborative environment for researchers to share scientific results, experiences, and insights in the field of Pattern Recognition and its related domains, both within Mexico and globally.The conference will feature various awards, including the MCPR-IAPR Best Paper Award and the MCPR-IAPR Student Paper Award. Winners of these accolades will have the opportunity to submit extended versions of their papers to a special section in the Pattern Recognition Letters journal. Additionally, accepted and presented papers at MCPR 2026 are also invited to submit extended manuscripts to special issues of the journals Computación y Sistemas (CyS) and International Journal of Combinatorial Optimization Problems and Informatics (IJCOPI). Authors should note that an extended paper must demonstrate at least a 40% difference in content, including theoretical components, experimental findings, and references compared to their original work. All extended submissions will undergo rigorous peer review according to the respective journals' standards.
