The Mauritius-Reunion Business Forum and Expo is set to take place at the NORDEV - Parc des expositions et centre de congrès Auguste Legros in Sainte Clotilde, Reunion. This significant event is organized by the Economic Development Board (EDB) of Mauritius in collaboration with key institutions from Reunion Island. The primary goal of this forum and exhibition is to enhance investment and trade between Mauritius and Reunion, facilitating a stronger regional economic partnership and encouraging the diversification of exports from Mauritius to Reunion Island.The event will feature nearly sixty exhibitors, including Mauritian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and women entrepreneurs, all eager to explore new business opportunities. The forum will concentrate on investment opportunities, while the exhibition will showcase Mauritian manufacturers, economic operators, and freeport developers, providing a platform for networking and collaboration. Young and emerging entrepreneurs from Reunion will have the chance to connect with Mauritian businesses, potentially leading to joint venture opportunities that could facilitate expansion into African markets. Furthermore, both Mauritius and Reunion Island enjoy a strategic advantage in exporting to Africa, thanks to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) trade agreement. In addition to economic aspirations, the two islands share a commitment to addressing global challenges, particularly climate change, while striving to balance economic development with environmental protection.
