Day of the Gundam is an exciting event hosted by Gundam Mad, set to take place in a massive dealer room dedicated to all things Gundam and anime. The event will feature an extensive selection of Gunpla and Japanese model kits, with dedicated spaces for Gundam fashion, physical media like DVDs and Blu-rays, homewares, limited edition items, anime statues, collectibles, and much more. Attendees can look forward to a gigantic stall filled with a plethora of Gundam model kits alongside a variety of gifts including Gundam and Mecha-themed stationery and bags. There will also be a stall showcasing an impressive range of models from popular franchises like Pokémon, Dragonball, Sentai, Megami Device, Digimon, Evangelion, and Zoids. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase anime titles from Anime Limited, MVM, and other distributors, including some rare out-of-print Gundam titles. Additionally, for those feeling lucky, Gachapon machines will be available to try your luck at winning exciting prizes.The event will not only cater to model enthusiasts but will also feature a dedicated cinema space screening some of the best Gundam films throughout the day, with exact titles to be confirmed closer to the event. Attendees can take a break in the chill-out zone located opposite the dealers' hall, where workshops and activities will be held, allowing fans to learn unique building and modeling techniques. The event will also include an arcade area, thanks to the Tokonatsu Team, where guests can enjoy a fantastic selection of games, including several Gundam-themed arcade machines. Participants will have the chance to compete in a model kit building contest to see who can build their kit the fastest, with prizes for both speed and creativity. Each participant will receive a model kit and a pair of nippers, and there is no entry fee for the competition. Additionally, a raffle will be held offering attendees the chance to win exciting bundles of Gundam goodies, including Gold, Silver, and Bronze prizes, along with seven runner-up prizes. Winners will be announced at the end of the event or contacted afterward. Onsite catering will be available with a variety of hot and cold food and drinks served throughout the day, along with a bar located conveniently between the main dealer space and the chill-out zone. Please note, food not purchased on-site cannot be consumed on the event grounds, but picnic tables will be available outside and Nelson Mandela Park is nearby for those who wish to enjoy a picnic.
